Aim

To enable public bodies to determine the effectiveness of their Disability Equality Schemes and if they are involving disabled people in service delivery.

Audience

  • Understand the effectiveness and impact of their existing Disability Equality Schemes and Action Plans
  • Have a clear vision as to the involvement of disabled people in the delivery of services
  • Understand the effectiveness of gathering information and evidence
  • Understand how and why they should monitor the Action Plan and a reporting structure to ensure that the Action Plan is implemented at the highest level

The session will showcase and explain best practice as determined by external examination of schemes throughout the country.
